Send a Volunteer to Biloxi!

Dear OPR Friends and Family,

As many of you know Operation Photo Rescue, Inc. will be making a trip to Biloxi, MS August 22-27, 2007 to collect more photographs damaged in hurricane Katrina. Katrina was almost 2 years ago and yet the reconstruction and clean up continues. After an article about OPR appeared in the newspaper, we were asked to come to Biloxi to help--we are expecting a large turnout.

In addition to some members of our Board of Directors we have several volunteers that have agreed to donate even more of themselves to help with our trip. We are having a small fundraising directive from now until August 22nd specifically for this trip to assist our volunteers with their travel expenses for the trip. OPR is able to help them with a small stipend, but it won't cover their flight or driving expenses, hotel, food, or the time they have taken off from their jobs and family to volunteer with us.

If you would like to donate to OPR for the Biloxi trip to assist our volunteers with their expenses, please see our website at www.OperationPhotoRescue.com to donate using your paypal account and in the note let us know that your donation is for the trip. Or you can mail a check to Operation Photo Rescue, Inc. 5204 McManus Drive Fredericksburg, Virginia 22407--please list Biloxi trip in the memo. Other donations will continue to be used for packaging and the postage to send the restored and printed photographs home, operating costs, or the costs of sending the board of directors on their trip. OPR is a tax exempt public charity so your donation may be tax deductible.
