Hi from the Netherlands

Hi all,

I just joined and I'm tentatively feeling my way around OPR and Photoshelter. I started to learn about restoring photos about 4 months ago. Initially old B&W/Sepia ones on a genealogy forum, then color ones too on a Reddit forum. It's been a steep learning curve and I'm still a relative 'newbie'. But at least Photoshop is less of a blunt instrument in my hands these days ^-^.

I have no experience with restoring water damage. So I'm going to pick a few easy ones, at least to start off with. I hope to learn more from the good examples I see here.

I'm British (Welsh) but I've lived in the Netherlands for most of my adult life.

Looking forward to getting involved!

Most of my family in Australia live on the east coast (in and around the Cairns area). My daughter stayed in Brisbane for a couple of months and traveled around a bit. She loved it! Victoria looks just beautiful on Google Earth ^-^ ! Are you anywhere near the Alpine national park? The local climate looks great too.

As you might have guessed, I love wild, rugged landscapes (mountains, deserts and anything rocky). That's why I moved to Holland which is as flat as a snooker table, densely populated apart from farms and motorways and where even the 'forests' are meticulously planned and cultivated ^-^.

I'm enjoying being part of such an international community and for me, Victoria is truly 'international'!
