Thoughts on this one

What do you guys think, It's just a dark, back lit photo to start that was probably taken at a very high ISO.

You are right about this photo and you are restoring it back to what it was, but in this case I would lighten it so you could see more of the person. By doing this is going show more noise and damage, but give it a try. I played with it by doing the color correction first and then an adjustment with Shadow and Highlights. I decided instead to take your version and duplicate and then change that layer to "Screen." Not as pretty as the dark version, but you can see more of the person. Play with it and see what you can come up with.
