What is meant by non-restore challenge?

Closecrop

It's a photograph that's been chosen as a challenge to anyone who would like to give it a try.
If the person has success they can upload it to the gallery with details on the methods that were used.

They're called "non-restore" because essentially they are considered non-restore-able due to extensive damage to a figure in the photo. However, each volunteer brings a wealth of experience to our group and may point the way to our all trying new approaches to our work.
