While downloading the useful videotutorials of Jonas (so I can see them without pauses due to connection interruptions) I searched for more video's on restauration techniques and stumbled upon this short video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxBd4QZAXEY

of a restore I am very sure I worked on

.

It seems to me something fishy is going on. Any suggestions on how to act on it?

Atlantis, I can't answer your question.  However, I would appreciate seeing any instructional & helpful videos posted by Jonas or others.  Could you share the links?

Janine Smith has a restoration video course on Lynda com.  However, it is very basic & based mainly on the articles she has on Tipsquirrel com   http://www.tipsquirrel.com/author/landailyn/

Somehow, I have overlooked this wonderful video until today.

The uploader has a channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/marktantrum

and a website : http://marktantrum.com/

He seems to be a professional photog so he definately should know better.
(but I did once stumble upon a so called professional restorer who used Katrin Eismanns work in his portfolio, and yes of course I sent her the link)

I presume there is a privacy and a copyright issue to be dealt with but I think it should be taken care of by the OPR board as I have not enough legal knowledge.

Thanks Atlantis!

I have emailed Mark and asked that the video be removed immediately. This person is a volunteer although I don't think since about 3 years ago.

Anyone have a better idea of how to maneuver though YouTube? When I go to the link Atlantis supplied it looks like it is managed by us, but I think that is only because YouTube is recognizing me. I see OPR account and it has a couple of videos that I did not post. One was one I thought funny and it may have been put on the forum, but not on the account.

Margie, you can block his posts:

(From the Help files of YouTube)
"Blocking a user will stop them from making comments on your videos or Channel, as well as stop them from being able to contact you through private messages.

To block a user, navigate directly to their Channel page. On their Feed or Featured tab, you will see a section on the right hand panel of their page which states Created By: UserName. Next to their name is a drop-down arrow where you will see (Block User | Send Message). Click Block User.

Additionally, you can block users through your Address Book. Click on your username in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Select Inbox and then choose Address Book on the bottom left.

If the user you are trying to block is a contact of yours, navigate to the username you would like to block and select the checkbox next to their username. Click the button up above your Contacts list.

If the user you are trying to block is not in your Contacts list, you can add the Channel as a contact by selecting New, then following the same process described above in order to block that user.

To see a list of all users you have blocked, select Blocked Users in your Address Book.

If you feel you are being bullied or harassed by someone, please see this article on Bullying and Harassment for more information on how to protect yourself."

Thanks Tori,

I can't even change my password. The other thing that is confusing is that it seems that he has his YouTube account, but at the top it says Managed by Operation Photo Rescue. I still think it is because it is showing me logged in. I really don't like YouTube administrative site as the password thing is not letting me do a "Forgot Password." When I use the one that is written down and try to do a new one, it won't accept it and says the password is wrong. When I file a report on the security it send me to Google. YouTube goes through Google??

You can log in to a number of sites thru Google, which gets really confusing if you have other accounts. You can, however, log out of Google (like Google mail) and log in under a different account:

"After the Google Apps transition, you'll find that you can't sign into another Google Account in the same browser while you're signed in to your Google Apps account. Here's why:

Google uses cookies to keep you signed in to your account.
The Google sign-in cookie only lets you sign in with one account at a time.
In the past, Google Apps accounts were cookied separately from Google Accounts, so you could sign in to both your Google Account and your Google Apps account in the same web browser.
Your Google Apps account has undergone a transition, and now functions more like a full Google Account. Your account uses the standard Google sign-in cookie, allowing you to sign in to only one account at a time."

This link: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1721977
discusses signing in to multiple accounts at one time.

This is a case of Google being too helpful.

Tori,

Thanks so much for the information. Hopefully I will also get some feedback from Mark.

It seems the video has been removed by the user.
Have you heard any more?

No Atlantis, I have not hear back from Mark, but I would imagine the two sweet little words of "copyright violation" found their mark.
