In some instances, Google image search has been contaminated and will attempt to redirect the browser to a compromised site that serves malware.

Anyone using Google images for reference might want to check out these articles:
http://www.net-security.org/secworld.php?id=10989
http://isc.sans.edu/diary/More+on+Google+image+poisoning/10822

If you get a suspicious message/window, DO NOT click on the X on the message's upper right-hand corner to close the window.
Windows users should immediately close the suspicious window with Alt + F4; Mac users Cmd + W.
Confidence is the feeling you have before you understand the situation.

Thanks Terry!

I have noticed some problems when I went to Google and was searching for photos to use of the latest disasters. I also knew about warnings that would tell you to click on a box because of a malicious site and it would rid your computer of Trojans. Some of the messages were so good that they looked legit. I never would go that routed, but instead use the computer's security to search for the problem.

I switched to Firefox because of the better security, but am having a problems finding what I need. For example on the link to the article it suggests on Firefox to add the Add On "No Script," but I cannot find it on the add ons or under the general setting tab.

Thank you veeeeeeeeeery much! Got it added on, but thought this was funny the comment posted below the video explaining how the add on works:
QuoteFunnily enough Noscript blocked the tutorial video for Noscript - LOL

Another problem I see is that I can longer use any of the smileys icons or the formatting tabs above. Solved that problem with a right click to allow scripts on OPR.

Thanks Terry

It is becoming more and more of a challenge keeping up with a sensible level of protection, must remember to do a check for what is available more often
