FFT for 64bit Photoshop
« on: April 26, 2011, 04:25:16 AM »
Hi everybody :-),

I know it's been a while, but I promise after I'm through with school, I'll find more time for OPR again :-)!

That however is not the purpose of this thread :-).
Rather I just found a thread over at RetouchPRO that promises a x64 compatible FFT filter (which means you can run the FFT on your 64 bit version of Photoshop).
It also allows the usage of 16bit images.

Unfortunately it's still for PC only, but I thought some of you might find it quite valuable (I personally don't even have 32bit Photoshop installed, so it's certainly great for me): http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/software/33084-here-fft-64-bit-photoshop.html
Best regards,
Jonas

I have 32 bit version of Photoshop installed on my laptop but when I open PS it automatically goes to 64 bit.   Then if I want to use FFT I have to close and reopen PS in 32 bit, I found no short to switch more easily.
This new filter will come in very handy.
I have given up working with 16 bit images as I found there was no significant improvement in the work that we do.  (I'm sure there would be a difference in large high res photos that are perfect to start with)

Thanks for posting the link Derw!
