Leftovers Sale!
« on: June 07, 2009, 04:18:31 AM »
There are 14 photos left in my gallery and 13 of those are leftovers from the Biloxi copy run.
It would be great if we could get all of those Biloxi photos restored, printed and sent home!

They are the Edens, Hillman, Howell and Windland families.
Wouldn't it be a shame to have these photos left out as non-restorables?
You may crop, blur and smudge as much as you see fit! ;)
(now, how often do you get to hear that!)

Thanks,

Hannie

Wow! Hannie, you are such a smooth talker! Maybe a ask for two and get one free might work? Anyone willing to take one of yours could post their progress and we will all pitch in to help.

We have all been keeping our galleries down to 25 or so in the hopes that we can get a family's photos out and home before adding a new bunch.

Yes, Margie and it worked too:  already 6 photos have been sent out today, thank you volunteers, you are all heroes!   :up2:

Even better is that now there are only 7 photos left that need urgent restoring!

Yes, only 7 picks away from sending home the Edens, Hillman, Howell and Windland families!

Hi Hannie,

I wanted EdensT_20_02_3.5x5 to see if I could use the older boy's face to do a better job of EdensT_20_12_3.5x5 repaired.jpg which I returned today. I will have a look tomorrow.

Please let some other demented person take it for a repair, HowellP_10_5x6.jpg will keep me busy for now

Will do Athol!

That means that not 7 but 8 lucky volunteers can help to send our left over families back home.
(dementia is not a requirement to do these restores, optimism on the other hand, may be a pro  ;))

Hi Hannie,

EdensT_20_02_3.5x5 helped to show the lads coloring but it looked to be at a younger age so I didn't use it.

I did however start again on his face and have produced a much more realistic result though I still have a lot to learn about creating hair and working with color and luminosity on separate layers.

Have uploaded the later version, called "repaired 2"

Athol, the second version of the boy's face looks amazingly good!

I don'tknow how to make hair either.  I've done several tutorials but all my efforts look like a toddler's drawing!  I also wouldn't know what it means when you talk about "working with color and luminosity on separate layers"!

Thanks,

Hannie
