How do I make an image small enough to post in the forums it is an 8X10 right now

I'm not a PS guru but I'm told you have to use the "Save for Web" feature?
Some people say I have ADD but they just don'... HEY LOOK A CHICKEN!

also, reduce the size to about 500 pixels across so it's not huge.

Image> image size

make sure the first number is in pixels and change it to 500.  As long as "Constrain proportions" is checked, the second dimension should adjust automatically.

Then file> save for web  (like Tofu said) and choose JPG at Medium compression

Thanks guys that just what I Needed
