Title: Why did I do it?

I have really struggled with this one. Not happy with the result so far so comments, suggestions please

Well fixing this looks like it will take a while.  So cherish the project  I did increase the contrast some but it seems to me that you will need to work on each individual one at a time.

My goodness Athol, you do pick some doozies! Think you are off to a really good start. Phil's contrast increase helps and he's sure right about working on them one at a time. Look forward to watching your progress. What a treat it is going to be for the family when you're done.

Thanks Phil and Shadow,

OK about the contrast Phil, thanks. It is all smart objects and layers so will do.

I can't help thinking that I will do  two versions.
One not far from where I am at, it is after all a fairly old image and over cleaning it will destroy some of the "old photo" look.
Also work on the people and bring the background up to look compatible.

YIKES!  You really do know how to pick em. Good start and good tip from Phil.  Pace yourself as we don't want you to crack under the strain.
