Title: Tutorial links
Post by: marylou on November 07, 2006, 08:35:53 PM
I thought it would be nice to post some resources, so I'll start out with some of my bookmarks. To avoid confusion I am making a separate post for each of the following: tutorials, brushes, textures and patterns. Hope some of you will add your favorites too! :)

In the spirit of "Shameless Self-Promotion",  I decided to post links to the few Photoshop tutorials that I've written.
When it comes to photo restoration, the last two will, probably, be of little help but they're cool techniques that a lot of people seem to be interested in.  You guys may get the most usefullness out of the first one.

Understanding Levels

Using Calculations & Channels To Create Masks
http://biorust.com/tutorials/detail/175/en/

Pencil Sketch Techniques

'Out Of Bounds' Images

That site also contains a bunch of other tutorials, as well as brushes, pattern, some fonts, etc., and is a very friendly community.  You have to be an "active" member to access all of the resources, however.  Make forum replies or comments on other people's uploaded artwork and you'll recieve "BioRUST Credits" which you can, then, spend to download brushes.  It's actually a good system to keep people involved and not just hit-and-run on the resource section.

Can anyone point me in the direction of that great explanation on LAB that Kurt wrote.  I have the short version but I'm like to see and say version.

Thank you very Merry,
