Title: Black & White Ajustments
Post by: Mhayes on June 21, 2009, 08:57:48 PM
Hi Everyone,

Here is a link to a tutorial that I found helpful when you are working in black & white and need to do some tonal adjustments: http://www.layersmagazine.com/black-and-white-fine-tuning-in-photoshop-cs3.html

Thanks, Margie. I've been looking for  more info on working on black and white photos.

Margie, what a great tutorial, I did some of the examples, wish I had more time to do all of them, really helpful in black and white restoring.

(have to get back to sanding and re staining all the thresholds in the place, yippee!)

I finally had some time to try out the examples in this black an white tutorial.   It is quite a good tut and I've learned a lot about luminance and curves.
I'm using all the different methods on some b/w photos that I have to restore.
Can't compare the results yet, there is too much light coming in through the windows in my place but if it is worth sharing I will post some of the results later.

Thanks for posting this link Margie!
