Auto Color Correction

Most of you probably already know this, but it was news to me and thought I'd pass it along.

If you have ever tried to color correct using the Auto button on a Levels or Curves Adjustment Layer, it probably looked awaful and you never used it again. But if you hold down Option/Alt and hit Auto, a settings panel comes up. Set it to Find Dark & Light Colors, Sample Neutral Midtones, and Shadows and Highlights to clip 1.10%. Then Save as defaults.

Not perfect, but helps most pictures with one click and you can fine tune it from there.

The first time I knew about the options available was that earlier tutorial you posted about color correction. I've used it a couple of times since. I liked the hint from that other video that if you made a selection first to avoid areas you knew would mislead any automated process, you could get much better results (which you can use for the whole image).

Thanks for posting.
