Hi Everyone,

Looking ahead, Nebraska is going to need some major help. We are just getting ready to finish the Houston photos and we done those done as fast as possible. I know those who are on the Forum regularly are doing their part, but now we need the others to step up to the plate. A copy run is going to many months in the future, but pretty sure that is where we are going to be heading this year.

Contacted Pat Wendt, long time OPR volunteer living in Nebraska, and she is safe from the flooding but says a lot of the state is in a real mess.

Nothing does a better job that photos of the flooding:

On OPR's Facebook page we have posted how to take care of flood damaged photos. Good response so far in people sharing.

The Article out of the Atlantic is pretty revealing!  Brings back memories of Katrina, the storm that brought us all together.

The bad part about the flooding in Nebraska is that it is so widespread--where do you decide to go to help when it looks like a large portion of the state is under water.

Our own Pat Wendt is safe and not in a part flooded. Right now she is dealing with health issues is why we haven't seen so much of her. Get well Pat!

I had seen photos and heard some awful stories on the radio - one business whose buildings were leveled when massive ice chunks came with the flood waters. Really scary stuff. I gather there's some possibility for additional flooding downstream too, so there may be additional areas for OPR to work with.
