I'll make note of that Lurch.  Color pictures aren't my first love, but I can't continue to grow without trying to work on them. I've sent it in.  I'm sure Tess or whoever is handling QC will move it along.

Perhaps you can post a good example of what you wrote.  I can use it as a reference for future restorations.

This discussion made me curious about how to touch up faces, and I came across a site discussing painting miniatures at:

http://chestofcolors.com/how-to-paint-faces/

The color of skin and shadows can cover the spectrum since it depends on several factors such as original skin tone, race, lighting, etc. Also the color added will affect the shape, so it's important to be aware of the shape of the cheeks, etc., before adjusting color:

Back in 2012 Hannie posted a little palette of skin tones at http://www.operationphotorescue.org/forum/index.php/topic,3918.msg35048/topicseen.html#msg35048 which has helped me a lot when deciding where to start with color.

Thanks Pat.  I read a little, growl a little, work a little more and I too liked the last rendition.  Gee, I hope I remembered to send it.   ;)

Thank you all for your input.
