Hi Everyone,

Shujen made it safely from Chicago to the Washington District Library in Illinois for their first day of the copy run. So far this morning there have been seven people come in and that is a good sign as things should pick up and Saturday will be the busy day. Genna is also getting inquiries for people wanting to bring photos in at a later date.

A big thank you for Shujen who had to drive 10 miles out of his way for a 3 hour trip to Washington, IL to dodge snow and there is also flooding in surrounding areas.

Best wishes for a successful run to Shujen, Genna, Randall, Heather, and all the volunteers.

Genna called to say that they had 13 families in today and things were going smooth. They were also picking up a lot from Shujen. Tomorrow should be a busier day with people having the day off. Next week it will be at Fondulac Library and that will be interesting to see what kind of turn out happens there.

Margie,
if you had your druthers, what would you want: more pix or more chopper volunteers?

A very successful Friday and excellent potential for continuing to help families with their damaged photos long after the official copy run dates.  :loveit:

A big thank you to Shujen, Genna, Randall, Heather, and all the volunteers for working so hard to help make this a success!

We did not get much press coverage and I was too busy to talk to the reporter.  Here is the video link from WQAD Quad City.  They drove one hour and half to visit us.

Thanks Shujen for posting the link. At least there was some coverage.

Shujen, thanks for the link. This news coverage brings home why we do this and what it means to those we help.

Always nice to see the owners of the photos we work on, puts the frustration we sometimes feel with a restore into perspective.

Great job by all involved, especially the anonymous gentleman wielding a camera in the news clip

Chris.

Thanks for the link, as said, nice to see some of the actual people and their stories to go along with the pics. :)
