color and face help

Hi Everyone, I have been working on this restore.  I have much of it done but I am struggling with getting the faces done well.  They look a little pixelated.  I have tried some things but am unhappy with my results so far.  Looking for suggestions...

Also, working on the doorframe...its turned out to be a bigger challenge than I expected.  I am wondering what you guys think about the color and best way to clean it up...

This is a hard one. There are different ways you can go about it, but I would especially make use of Layer Masks. I'm not sure what brought in the blue on the door frame, but maybe trying to paint over? I would go back and isolate the door frame and work different ways and see what is best. Layer masks will be your biggest help as you experiment. This will allow you to change the mode--even Screen--and then mask back in what you like.

Your next move will be to work on the damage on the girl's face.
