Stumped

Could someone give me some guidance on this one?  I can't tell whether or not the young man on the right-hand side is wearing jeans or just regular pants.  I'm also not sure that going out and finding material to "make" a pair of pants for him is right either.

Seeing as he is wearing a nice shirt I'd just go with dark pants. You shouldn't need too much detail in them.
