Veronica

Hi everyone.  I have been away for a bit but am back and so happy to be back.  I have a question though.  I had quite a message in my inbox here.  Just want to be sure it was reported.  That porno image had to be photo-shopped.

Yikes!

Kenny

Ahh, I see you've met the village idiot.

He's been taken care of, though, so no worries. Just delete the message.

Kenny

ps...yeah, that's a pretty bad photoshop, he needs to take a tutorial or something.  :funny:

But why is the rum gone?

Veronica

Then you Kenny, consider him deleted!

LOL on the tutorial comment!   ;D

Hi Veronica,

In addition to taking care of that particular jerk, we have taken several steps to prevent future attacks. As a matter of fact, Dave and John are pretty sure there was a reason attempt that the new protocols prevented.

Thanks,
Angela

Thank you Angela.  Unfortunately trolls such as that one exist on all internet boards.  I am glad you all put him where he belonged!

Oh goodness thank you so much, I figured ya'll forgot all about me by now.  It is nice to be appreciated.  You are the best!

I am happy to be back.  Had a little detour (ending a 22 year marriage :D) but all is grand now!  Thank you.

And thanks for that chair.  I could not have completed the restoration without it!

Yes Veronica, happened to all that were registered at the time.  I have recently found out that my website had somehow been logged into and a spam with a virus had been installed and was used to send out thousands of emails to people from supposedly my website.  The site was suspended and this happened twice within the week.  I am now in the process of having to reset it up again, and hopefully have taken the necessary steps to not have it happen again.

The one that we all go here was shocking to say the least and there were many similar posts as yours to begin with, but the posts were taken done as it was considered at the time, that the spammer was achieving what they wanted by having us post about it and not get one with what the site is all about.

Sorry to hear about the end of your marriage, something I hold sacred with my own, now 27 years and has had its rocky moments as well.  But divorce has never been on the agenda, solid Catholic boy I am.  But it isn't nice to stay in a marriage that just isn't working, so cheers to you for being so bold.

Welcome back.
Regards,

Peter

Welcome back Veronica

Many of us overreacted to the spam -- there were a few wonderful souls who cracked on the lousy restoration and went on with their business.  I think laughing about it got everyone past the initial reaction.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if spammers would use that intellect and energy for something positive????

A word of encouragement -- I was single quite a few years ago, between marriages and raising a son alone.  They were the best 8 years of my life!  Sometimes tough, but definitely a great time of growth.  I hope you experience the same thing (with less "tough")!

My best to you!

My goodness 27 years, that is wonderful!  Congratulations.  :)

I am a solid Catholic as well, who did not know how to pronounce the word divorce.  Unfortunately life has a way of changing on you...and you have no choice but to accept what is.

Blessings to you and your family.

Thank you for your kind thoughts.  I will say my children and I are new to this journey, but we are very happy thus far!  Life is good.  :)
