Good morning Doug

Thanks for the good wishes.  This truly IS a HUGE day for us, and I know that what happens here affects a lot of the rest of the world.  The fact that we have both a woman and a black man this close to the White House for the first time, and a very unconventional yet respected war hero in the running, is historic and makes it one of the most fascinating elections in my time (and I'm, oh, around 500 years old!).

There's nothing that feels better than to leave the polls with the "I Voted" sticker attached to one's clothing.  I consider it my license to gripe if I don't like what's happening in our government, because at least I put in my 2 cents (well, with inflation, it's probably 20 cents) worth.  My wish is that everyone, wherever they live, could have a say in the leadership of their country.

I'll be glued to the TV when I get home this evening.
