Title: PS cs3 vs. cs3 EXTENDED
Post by: kiska on September 17, 2007, 06:16:56 AM
I have an opportunity to buy cs3 EXTENDED at the educational discount. I would prefer plain cs3, but it is not offered, educationally. Do the extended extras, 3D, video, etc. clutter up the work space or whuuuuut??? I don't need that stuff. Thanks.

Hi kiska

I think you can choose what you install.  If you do a custom install you can check only the software you want, then you don't have to have the extras  on your computer.

Hi Kiska,

Try calling either Adobe, or the NAPP help desk, and see what they say about the extended.  I agree that unless you need all the extra stuff in the Extended version, it's not worth it.

The thing is, I can get the Extended, for $299, with the education discount. They don't offer the plain cs3. It would be about $649. I don't care for the extended stuff, BUT I sure like the price.
