Good morning everyone.. now I know I'm half asleep but I thought I'd have a quick look at the restore I worked on yesterday with several layers of curves and healing brush etc.. I opened the file and got this...

Wowzir! Look at your layer palette. Did any layer mode get changed by accident?
No they are all showing normal.. that's a lotta work down the drain.. :mad:

WEIRD!
so.. I turned off the two curves layers in my layers palette and the terrible colors disappeared .. but look what I'm left with.. all my healing brush marks are now showing white.. this is photoshop 2022 which I didn't really want but appeared anyway.. maybe if I try opening the image in an older version of ps. Well that won't work, there doesn't seem to be one available to me..

So I sent the images and problem up to adobe.. see what they say. Just to add.. I deleted the two curves layers and added a new curved layer to the top to see what happened.. it turned bright red and multi. I deleted that and tried again and it turned BLACK.. jeez.. I wonder if it's my graphics card or something...duh.. any clues gang?
So just to follow up for any other poor souls forced to use PS 2022 - after much tweaking and restarting and chucking said computer into hedge I finally disabled "use graphics processer " in the preferences.. made no difference.. so I tried "reset preferences" - BINGO. Back to normal.. what shall we find tomorrow morning one wonders. I don't hold out much hope of it holding.. at least I haven't lost everything. :crazy:
Just a quick question, Lynn. Did you have a recent update? Every time Microsoft wanted to update Windows, I lost something in my PS. Filters I used all the time and they can't be replaced. I use CS4 still.
Hi Candy.. yes it probably was something to do with updates.. I hadn't used my computer for three months so there were a lot!!! I daren't open photoshop yet for fear of what I may see....
I'm sticking with ps 2021. Don't like updates.
Mine did it by itself ... didn't even ask..none of my old versions seem to exist in my account either.. :mad:

Looking mighty good. Couple little things caught my eye. You probably already saw them :) Real quick ... Used a Hue/Sat adj to reduce bluish green cast from bkgd. Copied part of the right side and used Content Aware Scale to clean up that edge. Used patch tool to clean up damage on chin and reduce some of the color cast in shadow on right side of neck. See what you think. Look forward to the final!
