Hi Karen,

I think you have pushed to contrast too far, you have blacks at 0 and whites at 255 as shown on the histogram. Good practice is to work with blacks around 10-15 and whites 245-248 so you reduce the risk of accidental clipping.
Like the way you have brought out some of her features but there a white patches on her cheek and forehead that need to be toned down.
The most serious criticism is that I think it is a cat ;)
