Watched a few of the videos and found this the to be the best and most informative. I know most of us don't have CC, but it's pretty interesting anyway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0Fn9Bsryc8
And here's a text description on the adobe site: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/whats-new.html
Thanks Bambi, very informative.
Interesting new bells and whistles. Thanks Bambi.
Thanks very much for posting this - I just watched most of the video. That is one over-excited puppy :)
It's possible that content aware fill has taken a big step forward, but even without looking at his image in that much detail I could see repeating patterns in the water. I know it's a tough thing to do well, but it appears they have a way to go.
What you can do with frames is trivial to do with CS6 (and I'm not sure how far back as memory fails me) with masked groups or masked layers or smart objects with a layer mask.
For me, nothing to really drool over :)
I like the preview pane for content aware fill. I bet it demands a lot from your graphics card though!
I have CC since my darling son updated my system.. my old cs5 wouldn't fly any more.. but... I had an error message today for the very first time ever.. I was working away and had like 22 layers going and all of sudden it wouldn't let me use the healing tool.. said not enough memory.. I emptied the cache, history put my scratch disk in my new almost empty new D drive and as soon as I get a few layers it does it again!!! holy molly.. what to do.. am looking online for how to fix it but do any of you guru's know how to totally eliminate this problem???
Lynn, have you updated to Photoshop CC, version 19.1.5? It has a fix for the memory issue.
If you are using an earlier version, there is a registry fix for the memory problem.

Thanks Lyn.. I'll check.. I did see that video and shied away from it cos it meant messing in the registry.. I've been known to cause trouble in there.. :P
Hopefully you just need to update. If you do have to make the registry mod, be sure to back up the registry first. Good luck.
Thanks Lyn I've updated.. see what happens..
