Bambi,

She looks beautiful, but I would try to tone down the yellow by using the Color Balance Adjustment. Maybe even Hue & Saturation to lighten the carpet. I would then borrow some good parts of the shag carpet to fill in around her toes.

Great restore Bambi.  A layer mask for the carpet area would keep the rest from turning too blue?

I agree. I did mask take some of the yellow out of the rug, but I can see it needs more. Thanks for all your comments.
