Title: Examples of OPR's Work
Post by: jaytrumpet on April 03, 2016, 09:26:21 PM
Before the OPR website was updated there were some pages on the site that were a showcase for member's restorations. As you well know some of that work is AMAZING and really fun to view. Is there a place on the current OPR site where members (or outsiders) can view examples of exceptional restoration work?

Jay,

Yes, and now it is gone because our site kept going down and it was the gallery causing the problem. OPR is always short on cash and what we have is put towards operating cost and doing copy runs. In order to have the gallery again and with it expanding means having enough cash to pay for it and we don't have it. Plus, we about lost our Webmaster because of all the headaches it caused. When Tess, is up half the night and into the morning for problems related to our website, we hat to cut it. Maybe someday when we are flush with cash.

A little off the subject, but along the same lines is showcasing restored before/afters on volunteer's websites to promote their business. This is prohibited and could get us into a lot of trouble. On our website it was fine, but outside of it not. Just thought a reminder to some of you that have forgotten. Jay, this is not directed at you, but at some other volunteers who have ignored the rules.

Thanks,

Margie
