Very nice job Candy  :up2:  I like the texture in his uniform and hat.  The upper part of his ear (picture left) has some lite discolorations.

Hi Candy,

Another beautiful restore, great job!

I almost dare not ask because you are the expert on military apparel but could it be possible that the uniform has another color like blue or charcoal gray?

Not likely Hannie.  This is an Army uniform and the color might have just a bit more blueish cast to it but not by much.  Very good point.  The colors did vary between WWII and today.  WWII era was on the OD side (olive drab)

Below are two examples

The uniform trousers are plain green with no black stripe.

or this page

You can see this is more OD

Made a slight color change.  See what you think.  Thanks Pat.  I missed the ear.

Candy, thanks for your information on US military uniforms.  The links are helpful and I learned a great new word: olive drab....   :)

I tried a levels and curves to brighten it up some? (white point from the shirt, black from the band on the cap and the shadow of the tie on the shirt for the gray point)

I'll follow suit Hannie.   Here is another helpful link on the shirts.

Here he is now with your suggested corrections.

Looking great Candy,

I checked out the military info link, it has a great medal and ribbons look up page.
I came across a website called Olive/Drab...   ;)
