Title: Some pointers required
Post by: paulboyowhite on May 28, 2013, 06:35:50 AM
Hi again.
I am now working on this photo and its probably the hardest ive had yet .

I have done level ajustments. Then I have used imagesonic noiseware to remove noise (maybe too much).I have done some heal to remove the worst of the white patches.

I am now open to suggestions as to where I should go next.

Hi Paul,

It's great that you did the Level's Adjustment first, although when I did both Level's and Curves my results were different. I would try starting over without using Imagesonic noiseware, because yes, it has made the image too smooth and gives it a blurry look to where you feel the whole photo is unfocused. There are other ways to do handle this. More later . . .

Word of caution for using plug ins to help--often they make things worse than doing the grunt work yourself.

Margie

As I said "hardest" yet.I made the right choice posting early then as the feedback will help .
Hopefully Ill have an hour later today to start over .
