Title: Blue Channel Excitement
Post by: philbach on October 01, 2012, 09:07:02 AM
This is a series of a photo I am working on.  The blue channel has been essential as you can see, (second photo) but I did have to draw in lots of features.  I would appreciate it if you could let me know where to go from here.  Thanks.

Great repair job Phil!  Where would we be without that Blue Channel...  :)

Other than a bit of Levels and Curves correction it looks good to me.

Wow. In pictures like this, the Blue Channel is just amazing. Thanks for sharing, Phil. Great job on a tough picture. The family will be amazed.

Your restoration looks awesome!

Sorry for this question but I am new to this. I have wanted to know how exactly you proceed to restore a photo from an undamaged (or less damaged) channel? Do you copy that channel to a layer, bring it to the top of the stack and then color in the various sections? Is that how it's done? Are their tutorials available on how it is done?
