Title: Curves RGB boxes
Post by: Marydh on May 27, 2012, 06:34:14 PM
How do you set the RGB to 245 (for white) and 15 (for black) in Photoshop CS5?
Thanks,
Mary

Hi Mary,

Bring up the Curves Adjustment and then where you see the three eye droppers you will set each separately.  On the black, double click on it and it will bring up where you can set the preferences. You mentioned 15, but I have seen Scott recommend 7 as good for dark shadows, but still retaining detail for inkjet printers. Once you get that done, hit OK and then do the same for the white eye dropper and 245 is a good number. Also Suggested for the gray--midtone preference--was the number of 133.

Hope that helps. Great seeing you on the Forum!

Margie
