Title: Have cropped this photo...that okay?

I could not see any detail in the bottom portion of this photo and ended up cropping it to  a 5x3 pic ( original 3x3). Is that alright?
Also  is that a parcel under his arm? or damage?  Should I do one pic with a parcel and one without?

Hi Nancy, yes the crop will be fine as there is no info at all down the bottom. I don't think there is a parcel there, maybe just a pipe pouch under his arm?

Here is the latest pic.  Is there anything else left to do?  Except smooth out the one arm?  And maybe fix his hair a little? Should I do a shadow and highlight adjustment to bring in his features?

I would leave the shadows as is. It was a very contrasty pic originally.
