Title: noise
Post by: marlene on December 15, 2010, 12:06:05 AM
Hello ,
I just started on this one and I don't know how much much of the noise I should remove ...it is tempting to remove all .

Hi Marlen,

Good question!  I understand that it is tempting to reduce noise on this photo.  When you are done repairing all the damage (zoom in real close) you may feel different about wanting to get rid of the noise.

The problem with noise reduction on any photo but especially on this one is that you lose valuable detail and little highlights here and there that give depth to the photo.
I very rarely apply noise reduction unless there is no other way to restore the photo and it would be lost.  Even then I use very little of it.

Hope this helps,

Hannie
