Title: Removing the border?
Post by: Jonas.Wendorf on October 31, 2009, 10:06:16 AM
Hello everybody :-),

holidays are over so new pictures will take a little longer to complete, but I'll keep them coming ;-).

Anyways, for my most recent restore I was thinking, whether I shall remove the border around the picture or not. It looks pretty ugly but I think it's part of the image.
Any other hints are of course appreciated as well :-)

Hi Jonas,

I don't think that is the border since as you go down the photo you see her sweater. It looks to me like a ripple in the photo that you can take out. Next I would start on removing the yellow staining from the water you see through out the photo. Great start!

Jonas, I agree with Margie that the border is part of the border and can be cleaned up.
This photo is almost like a black and white that has been colorized later on.  It left her looking a little anaemic but that is how the original is so we better not change that!  ::)

Very nice clean up job!
