Title: More hand issues
Post by: pixelesh on December 14, 2008, 11:13:59 PM
Almost ready to send this orphan home...

I've had this little sweet pea on my desktop for far too long, but I think she's just about done. (Maybe a little more tweaking on her face, yet.) I left the hardest section till last - her hands. This to me is almost the most expressive part of the whole photograph. I can't determine if her fingers are interlaced or are the fingers of her left hand curled around those of her right? I've not been able to find just the right visual reference to help me out. Suggestions on this and any other feedback would be most welcome.

OY, this was a toughie for me, what with the original paper texture, soft focus, hand coloring and the missing fingers... :wow:

Hi Leslie,

Seeing your restore makes me very happy!
You have done an amazing job keeping this lovely girl so faithful to the original image.

I think Gary's impression of her hands is very good.

Great job  :up2:

Thanks for the input, Gary.

Hannie, I'm so pleased you are happy with the progress - I hope to have her back to you very soon.
