Wow Rob...  The original to me looks like a very difficult photo to repair...  And you've done a very good job with it... I think I need colour in a photo.. I would have found this photo to be vert difficult...  Keep up the good work!!!  :)

I think this looks excellent!  I can see (in my mind) a lot of very careful cloning and healing!  Excellent attention to detail.

I think this second one looks good, but needs to be just a little lighter on the bottom third.  I would try duplicating the photo and try various lighten modes to see which one might work best, using a mask (possible gradient)  to protect the upper two thirds of the current image.
