Title: Cochrane Mural
Post by: Mhayes on December 12, 2007, 12:52:49 PM
Hi Everyone,

I had this link sent to me a couple of day ago and thought you might enjoy seeing how the mosaic of pictures formed this mural.

"Cochrane Mural - LOOK CLOSELY BY CLICKING ON ANY PART OF THE MURAL
Cochrane Mural
For those not living in the west, Cochrane is NW of Calgary and east of Banff, in the foothills of the Rockies.

This mural was unveiled in July at the Cochrane Ranche House.

Each tile is 1 foot square, is its own individual picture and each is by a different artist. All of them together form this huge mural.

You can click on each of the tiles to see them in detail. Check out the horse's eye."

Hi Margie

Thanks for sharing this project.  I find it fascinating that such diverse paintings create an integrated image.  It would be interesting to know how the final image is planned in order for the individual tiles to work as well as they do.  Creativity knows no bounds!

Cheers

Glenna
