Title: Handwriting on documents
Post by: Atlantis on November 29, 2007, 04:04:18 AM
I'm looking for ideas to recover handwriting on a document. Due to waterdamage a lot is faded and some completely lost. Also handwriting that is decades old is different from modern handwriting and harder to decode even if it's clear.
One of my ideas is to trace it once I have my old tablet reinstalled, found the lost pen and become friends with it because my trials with using the mouse to trace were to horrid to even discuss. But the problem with handwriting also is that the look is very personal and hard to copy.
Would there be any layers and/or channels trick as well?

I do, but as I had an unexpected urgent dental problem that needed fixing (which totally messed up my day) and need to work tonight and pack my bags to leave early tomorrow (Prague! yay) I won't be able to upload it until dec 6th.

After returning from Prague things got very hectic around here preparing special events for the holydays followed by a computercrash. All seems fixed now but PS is not working completely well yet, mainly a colourmanagementproblem and mysterious shutdowns. I will post my example once things work well again. Sorry for the delay.

Finally I got to upload a miniversion of my document.

I'm looking for a way to recover the handwriting (which I can partly read) without having to trace it - maybe something with channels or LABcolours??

I will post my progress in the moderate sector.
