Title: No repairs needed on these
Post by: Tess (Tassie D) on August 16, 2008, 07:10:18 AM
Just thought I'd post some pics of the cymbidium orchids growing outside in my garden. They liked the cold winter.

Tess, they are gorgeous!  Is the bottom one green or is it just the lightfall?

Tess, what else (or who) but nature could create such masterpieces.  They're breathtaking! Thanks for sharing the beautiful images.  I have to admit that it's refreshing to see a photo that doesn't need touch-up!

Hugs,

Tess, how beautiful! I can't believe that you can grow them outdoors.

Thye are beautiful aren't they. Hannie yes the bottm one is green. It's not fully out yet so I couldn't get a shot of the whole spike.
Margie we can grow them outside here as long as they are under the eaves of the house and near the bricks which tend to keep frost off. Mum has hundreds of them at her place.
Being part of the local Orchid society she got me to do a little website for them. You can see lots more photos here. http://www.geocities.com/devonorchid/index.htm
