Title: Partnership in Illinois by The Library Journal
Post by: Mhayes on December 02, 2013, 03:59:20 PM
Hi Everyone,

Here is a link to an article that is online and will also go out as a newsletter to libraries across the country telling of the latest partnership between OPR and the Fondulac District Library in Illinois. Since the beginning libraries have helped by giving us a place where people could bring their damaged photos. When news of our working with the Fondulac Library caught the attention of the Library Journal with headquarters in New York, I was contacted by Matt Enis, Associate Editor of Technology, to do a story. Here is the link: http://www.thedigitalshift.com/2013/12/preservation/fondulac-district-library-operation-photo-rescue-partner-save-communitys-storm-damaged-photos/

What is so great about this coverage is that it brings awareness about OPR to libraries that do not know of our services and also starts the ball rolling on ways that we might use what is being done at the Fondulac library for future disasters.
