Hi Everyone,
Thought maybe it would be fun to post Christmas photos past or present and that includes your pets. Holly got her first visit with Santa today at the pet store. Was she afraid, nooooooo. Was she hard to get to look at the camera, yes! A squeaky toy finally helped to capture her attention and when she got down the kid dropped the toy and she ran off with it. Guess she thought that was her Xmas toy.

Look forward to seeing what photos you have that will bring a smile on everyones face.
Margie
P.S. My cats will get in on the act, but Santa is out unless he wants a blood transfusion.
What a Great picture! Like you, I think the only shots of my cats I'm going to get are in my tree. I personally can't believe it hasn't fallen down yet ;p
Margie, what a funny photo of you and Holly! (the beard looks great on you)
Christmas is not a big thing over here so I really don't have any funny photos. I did come across this inflatable Santa at the town hall the other day. :)

Hannie
hmmmmmmmmmm.
Margie, Holly is so darn precious. I love the photo.
I think I'm going to dig around in my archives and see if I can find the Christmas card with the photo of all my babies before I lost so many of them. It would make me feel good to have a memorial of the ones who are gone, even though several come to visit off and on, and two of them inhabit Scooter and make him act like them (it's really spooky - just like the movie Ghost - except he doesn't talk like them. No one could talk like Aaron Neville!)
Hannie, sometimes I wish Christmas were more low-key here, as well. It's such a mad dash for everyone that is isn't fun the way it once was. We've made it more of a time just to be with friends and family and don't do the gift giving extravaganza, and it takes a lot of the pressure off of everyone. Facebook has a campaign going to get back to the simplicity that Christmas once was. Making gifts and doing simple things. I hope many people follow some of the great ideas that have been suggested.
Kiska: hmmmmmmmm? I get really nervous when you say things like that!
Holly is a real treasure Margie. I just love those ears! Unfortunately we don't have any Christmas photos of our beloved little Cairn terrier that is no longer with us. Jake loved opening gifts and no matter how we tried to disguise them in boxes and paper he could always pick out which ones were his when it came time to reveal the contents.
Glenna I too wish for a more low-key holiday season. My best memories of Christmas when I was a kid are of warm fires, hot cocoa, sledding, snowmen and visiting with cousins I only got to see a couple of times a year.
Pat
Here is a photo my daughter took after she placed the antlers on our dear dog's head. This will be our second Christmas without our Lady.

Thanks everyone, but Hannie you get a lump of coal in your stocking for the beard remark.
Tess, what a cute picture of Lady, but it makes you want to hug her and say: "Poor Baby!"
If any of you have photos of you at a younger age at Christmas---post them.
Margie
Tess, that picture gave me a lump in my throat. What a wonderful dog!
Margie, you're lucky Santa gave that adorable pup back. That... um... was Santa right? It wasn't really you in a beard, was it? I mean, Hannie has a point.... the likeness is uncanny, but....
:funny:
We have too many missing beloved animals this year. I'm without 7 of my babies, and since I'm being "grandma-napped" tomorrow and hauled north to Williston, I won't have time to post photos until probably after Christmas. Somehow this conspiracy cropped up last night and my beloved daughter-in-law is driving down to haul me away for a week or so. Hence, should I not get a chance to steal their laptop for a while during my stay up in north Fla., I want to wish all of my wonderful OPR pals a glorious holiday and lots of happiness and fun with family and friends.
Hugs a million.
GK
GK, have a safe trip and enjoy your Christmas. As to Hannie and PatW, all I can say is that you two will be getting a lump of coal in each of your stockings. BAD!
Margie
Will it have a red ribbon tied around it?
Hannie, it will be wrapped in an old sock and not with a red ribbon---if you and PatW are good, the sock will be clean, if not . . . ::)

Looks like the water is getting to deep for me so I am just going to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas, Good Health, and a Prosperous Happy New Year.

That is beautiful Pat. Have downloaded it to watch again later.
Margie wanted me younger, here it is lol. I was 8 so Mum says but I'm sure this was taken when I was 10. My brother and I with Santa who had his eyes shut. :D

Merry Christmas
What a wonderful photo Tess. You look very confident that you've got Santa wrapped right around your little finger.
Pat
I think either Santa was passed out or Tess told him what a good girl she was and his eyes have rolled back in his head. ;)
Margie
The latter Margie. He just couldn't seem to believe how good I was. Put my brother and I in the same room at that age and the fur would fly lol.
As you can see though we are wearing the usual Christmas attire for down here, shorts and thongs (flip flops).
Great photo Tess!
Tess, that's a wonderful photo! :loveit:
lol if only I still looked like that. Everyone else must be shy, where are the Christmas photos, people???
If anyone has some spare cold weather it will be greatly appreciated. It just hit the 100F outside this afternoon and supposed to be the same for Christmas eve and Day! Looks like it will be cold turkey, ham & salad for lunch on the day.
Poor Bethany has blistered sunburn on her shoulders for Christmas. Forgot the tshirt when canoeing on the school activity day and was only on the water until 10.30am. Now soaking in a cool bath before I put the aloe vera gel on it.
Here I am in all my innocence and one of those moments of thinking fast on your feet about how good you've been, but the face says otherwise.

Tess, I will trade you weather as it is cold here with just a dusting of snow this morning.
Margie
Margie, what a great picture!
As far as I know, there are no, zero, zilch, Christmas photos of me.... so I'll have to substitute one of Don Diego (whose life is much better documented).
My little furry pal & I wish you all a very, Happy Holiday!

What a beautiful photo Margie. I have this urge to hand colour it. We've never had a white Christmas, it would be a lovely thing to see and much more conducive to cooking a banquet.
Pat I do adore Don Diego, he is such a handsome boy. I suspect if I ever got to visit your bookstore I wouldn't be looking at the books :)
Margie I do detect a certain calculating look in your eyes. :)
Pat, like you I can find absolutely zero Christmas photos of myself when I was a child. Don Diego is adorable!
Tess I've often wished Christmas was during our summer season. Shopping would be so much more pleasant if we didn't have bone chilling cold outside and stores over-heated inside, no snowy, icy roads to contend with. Getting together all the relatives always works better for us in the summer when we can set up tables outside and everyone brings dishes to pass and we sit around in the shade watching the kids work off extra energy at outside games.
I do think 100 degrees would be a little much though Tess. I was expecting the Santa in your Christmas photo to be sporting red shorts and flip flops.
Pat
Pat, I think you should have gift cards at your bookstore with Don Diego in them asyou are never at a loss for something witty to say. There are so many cute ones of Don Diego and I love the ones of him on a road trip with his moose. Maybe even some snapshots of Diego welcoming home his pal the cat. If Tess should ever visit, keep a close eye on Diego as she strike me as a dog napper.
Tess, would I be a blond blue-eyed child in your colorized version or a flaming redhead?
Pat, that is why my head was turned away from Santa.
Margie
P.S. OK the rest of you: Take some pictures of you this Christmas and post.
Merry Christmas to you all. Have a safe and happy holiday and a prosperous blessed New Year. Thank you all for your help this past year and I look forward to another year with OPR. :loveit:

Sorry no Christmas photos of me but I can share my Christmas dinner photos with you all!
I couldn't make up my mind, lobster or turkey.... so I had them both!

I have never felt so thankful to be able to be a part of something as I have felt being a part of opr! while the economy is the way it is....and the tree looking a little charlie brownish I am very thankful for what matters most, my family and friends!!
Hannie, that baby looks strangely like your granddaughter. If so, that turkey shot is so bad! :funny:
Jesterjeni, I couldn't have said it better. I had to smile about the part of "the tree looking a little Charlie brownish." Despite all the hardships this year, all of you have been wonderful and I am thankful for your friendship.
Merry Christmas!
Margie
Good observation Margie! (the other ones are too tough)
