A visual version of the 'Where we're from' thread, if you will...

OPR Volunteers come here from all over the world... I thought it'd be interesting to have a thread for members to post a picture of what they see when they look out their window from where they sit.  Let's try it, it might be fun to take a virtual trip around the globe.

If you don't have a window... get creative!

Who wants to start?

Ummmm....how about you?

Ok, then! I'll oblige....not exactly out my window, but this was the view a block and a half from my home last week. (I currently live in Binghamton, NY on the Susquehanna.)

I grew up in Vestal!  Small world, eh?  See I told you this might be semi-interesting.  ;)

I remember that bridge... holy smokes!  I just heard that they just moved the BC Open golf tourney from Binghamton to the Turning Stone Casino up here due to the flood damage...

Small world, indeed! I lived in Saugerties for 6 years during the time they were building that casino!
(Edited because I can't read...you're near Utica/Rome...not down in the Hudson Valley. :doh)
Conklin got hit the worst. There are people still not in their homes. I'm sure many of them would be happy for OPR's services, too! Endicott was without power for awhile. Nearly the entire county is still on clean water alert--Binghamton excepted. My neighborhood on Binghamton's South Side lost phone service for a week...some are still out. I'd be volunteering to collect photos here if (OPR takes up the cause) except I'm moving to Baltimore and the movers come Monday.

Here is a shot off the deck from my home office.  My backyard neighbor is a farm, then the Boise foothills.

We love it, but mother nature sent some lightning over the weekend that caused 6 fires in the hills.  One was just two blocks away.  :D   First time I thought maybe living in the hills was not such a great idea....lol

I dont have a digitial camera so I cant really take a picture out of my window, but this isnt too far from where I live. Its actually right in the centre of the city - though you wouldnt think it. This is just the stone keep, there is a huge walls that surrounds it too (will see if I can get an arial picture too)

my son would be in heaven there.  i am trying to make his room look like that   he wants me to make the walls look like stone.  last night i hung his swords and shield up on the wall, he has five that are huge long swords,  i put them far away from his bed...don't want to skewer him in the middle of the night.  he loves anything medieval.  that is so pretty thanks for  sharing!
