There is no reply yet from the owner re the camo shirt, so it is probably fine to leave it as it is.

There was much debate on it, on milvets.  Time frame between 60 - 70.  We talked about a camo shirt and that can still be done but the consensus was, OD green, only it was called sateen fatigues.  

Thank you for the encouragement.  The young man has come a long way.
