Glenna, I don't understand that you can't even see the x, are there any internet setting that you can check for showing images? Maybe you can try another browser (I keep several, just in case).

I just realized that both you and Kiska have a Mac and I really don't know anything about settings in those!

Any Macpro pros around here?

You may want to try this: choose Preferences/View and uncheck the Image Placeholders checkbox.
