Title: Massive Flooding Hammers Plains
Post by: Mhayes on May 26, 2015, 02:20:55 AM
Right now there is catastrophic flooding hammering the central plains and the worst part is that rain is expected throughout the week. To give you an idea of some of the damage, here are some links:

It will be some time for the cleanup to begin, but if this is close to your home, please contact us. The flooding is so massive that a lot of local help will be needed.

I've been following the news about Houston, Texas, where all the creeks and bayous are over their banks. A lot of damage, and a number of people missing. A lot of rail lines are affected so many shipments are delayed. My husband (the truck driver) was diverted from his usual run to Michigan to haul barley from North Dakota to Tennessee because they can't get it by rail right now.

Hopefully the rain will stop, I feel so bad for all those people...

The worst part is that the rains are forecasted to continue through the week.

OPR had two volunteers sign up from Austin that are interested in a possible copy run. More information as it develops.

There's already so much damage. Hope they don't suffer any more.

This coming week we might see a break in the rain. Our area, though soggy, has not seen flooding.  My daughter's favorite places at Lake Texoma are under water as are many other areas in Texas and Oklahoma.

Keeps life interesting!
