Well, here we go on this doozy!
First, I 'dust & scratches' to eliminate the little yellow dots: there seemed to be more dots than spaces!
Then I smudged some of the bright area in the right side foliage to turn 'green scrambled eggs' into fronds: seems to sorta work—I'll try some more.
Then I mirrored the right boy's face and shaded it.
Gave the left boy a toupee from his brother and started to smudge his face mottle into skin.
There's a long road ahead...

Okay, I think this is as far as this image should be reconstructed.
I don't want to create more detail on the left boy: if I did he might look more real, but his mother wouldn't recognize him!
