I think you will find restoring photos for those who have lost so much to be very fulfilling and also a little addictive.  It's good that you plane on participating on the forum.  Not only do we have a lot of fun learning about our fellow volunteers from all around the world, but the forum is a wonderful learning environment.

We all love sharing tips and techniques.  It seems there is always something new to learn.
