The guy in this photo seems to be holding something I have an idea what but am not sure. Any ideas?

i think maybe it is just the edge of his jacket, his hands on his lap.

I wasnt sure, it was only that the position of his right hand looked as though it could be gripping something.

Could be a Hat, or a Football, but there looks like there is something there, I don't think it is the coat.

It appears to me that his hands are too relaxed to be holding anything. I'd guess they're just resting on his lap and the rest of the area is damage...GG

I don't think he's holding anything either. Looks like his hands are just resting on his legs.
