Hi Bambi - it's not the intensity of the shadow, it's the position. You were right about it being a shadow from a flash; my guess is the flash was hand-held high, maybe at arm's length, press-style. If you look closely, there is no shadow showing above Clinton's shoulder or above his head. It's all down and to his right.

WRT his legs seeming too short - the illusion might come partly from your replacement suit. The jacket extends noticeably farther below the lectern than does the original.

All in all, these are really minor points on what's a very good job. Remember, the closer you get to perfection, the harder we eagle-eyes push.  >:D
