Hi Everyone,

Becky Sell sent me this link to a post by the New York Times a couple of days ago called "After the Flood: http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2009/08/28/us/0828CEDAR_index.html
and the news story itself: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/28/us/28cedar.html?_r=1

I also received this email today from Susan Kuecker:

Dear Margie;

FYI After the local ABC affiliate received your press release they did an interview with me about your project.  It aired on Tuesday evening and we've had some comments about this.

Regards,

Susan Kuecker
Curator
African American Museum of Iowa

Will keep everyone posted as things develop.

Unfortunately there are some errors in the story. We will be there Friday and Saturday from 9-5. We ruled out Sunday, because there would not be much Sunday traffic in the morning. We will be doing a lot of the museum's damaged photos, but  the cut off for free pinting will be limited. The museum is willing to pay for the printing on the over flow. Scott Crossen, owner of  DigMyPics, will also be coming on the trip.

I'm the one with egg on my face, because if you look at the home page I have October 9-11 listed as the dates.  :-[  I will get that corrected today. That was our plan in the beginning and then it changed when Susan said that we would not get much traffic and most of the volunteers needed to travel back home in the afternoon.
