Alrighty den!

Is this tassel school colors painted in, damage, ink stain?

Hi Kiska.  If I was to guess, I'd say the school colors are blue and white on the tassel.  My first reaction was ink stain, but since this is a painting, it appears this is how the painter did the blue on the tassel.  I'm not 100% on this, but it's my 2 bits worth!

Hi kiska

I'd agree with Chris.  I think the tassel is blue and white, based on the fact that the length of the strands of each color in that area is the same.  Wow!  This looks like a tough one.  Good luck!

Fly in the ointment... could be silver.  I was thinking that because of the banding on the mitre board.   But that's not a far cry from the white.  Just a thought.   :huh:

They use grey as a representative of silver;  very light though.
